JSI Tip 8439. You receive a 0x8007F0F4 error when you try to install an update that you downloaded?

If you are using Windows XP SP2 on a portable computer, or a Tablet PC that is running Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005, you may receive a 0x8007F0F4 error when you try to install an update.

This behavior may occur if your computer is running on battery power.

To workaround this issue, plug in your computer before you attempt to install the update.
