JSI Tip 8212. How do I stop a WMI error from being displayed in the 64-bit edition of Windows Server 2003?

A WMI error typically occurs because of a critical hardware error.

To prevent a WMI error from displaying:

1. Copy / Paste the following into Notepad.exe and save it as NoWMIerr.reg:

REGEDIT4

\[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\WMI\]
"DisableMCAPopups"=dword:00000001

2. Merge the NoWMIerr.reg file with your registry, or run regedit /s NoWMIerr.reg.
