JSI Tip 8040. The clock of a client computer may run slowly if Windows 2000 Server uses W32Time to synchronize the time of computers on a Microsoft Windows 2000-based network?

If you use System Monitor to monitor a client, you may see that the client computer's clock is temporarily running slowly.

NOTE: The clock on the client functions correctly when it synchronizes with an authoritative time server.

See How is the time on a Windows computer synchronized?

For information about Windows Time, see Using Windows 2000 with Service Pack 4 in a Managed Environment.

NOTE: See How do I configure the Windows 2000 time service to log when time is adjusted?
