JSI Tip 8022. Windows XP reports error 0x800a01b6 or error 0x80072F78 while the Windows Update Web site is loading?

These errors are generally the result of an antivirus or firewall  program that prevents the Windows Update software from functioning properly.

To troubleshoot the issue, temporarily disable the firewall and/or antivirus program. If this resolves the problem:

- You may want to contact the vendor for instructions.

- Make sure TCP/IP ports 80 and 443 are open in both directions.

- Make sure the firewall isn't blocking scripting functions on Web sites.
