The subject behavior will occur is you perform the following steps (in the order listed):

- You installed the 820696 hotfix (article currently unavailable).

- You suspend your laptop computer.

- You plug a CRT monitor into the VGA port on your laptop computer.

- You resume your laptop computer.

- You press the hotkey for your laptop computer to switch from the LCD screen to the CRT monitor.
