JSI Tip 7821. Windows 2000 Performance Monitor is missing some base operating system performance counters?

When you open Performance Monitor, some base operating system performance counters, such as Memory and CPU, are missing.

This problem will occur if the performance counters are turned off.

To verify that the performance counters are turned on:

1. Start the Exctrlst.exe tool.

2. Select the first item in the Extensible Performance Counters list box.

3. If the Performance Counters Enabled box is cleared, check it to turn on the performance counters.

4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for every item in the Extensible Performance Counters list box.

NOTE: See tip 4095 » How can I rebuild performance counter library information?
