When you unplug a USB 2.0 storage device, you receive a message similar to:
\{Delayed Write Failed\}
Windows was unable to save all the data for the file \Device\HardDiskVolume
This behavior will occur if you did NOT use the Unplug or Eject Hardware feature before you physically unplugged the device. Since you didn't use the Unplug or Eject Hardware feature, some file system cached files and folders may be damaged.
To use the Unplug or Eject Hardware feature:
1. Double-click the Unplug or Eject Hardware icon ( ) in the notification area (System tray).
2. In the Hardware devices list, select the USB storage device that you want to stop and press Stop.
3. Unplug the device from your computer.
NOTE: See tip 4565 » Has the 'Unplug and Eject Hardware' icon ( ) disappeared from your system tray?
