JSI Tip 6696. How do I increase the amount of environment memory available to the Windows 2000 command processor?

To increase the amount of environment memory available to the command processor:

1. Start / Settings / Control Panel / System.

2. Select the Advanced tab.

3. Press Environment Variables.

4. Under System variables, press ComSpec.

5. Change the line to read:

%SystemRoot%\system32\cmd.exe /e:nnnnn

where nnnnn is a number between 2048 and 32768.

NOTE: You should use even multiples of 2048.
