Set Printer Properties for Remote Users
- Press Start / Printers and Faxes.
- Right-click the printer you want to set the default printing preferences for and press Properties.
- Select the Advanced tab and press Printing Defaults.
- Set the parameters you want on the Layout and Paper Quality tabs.
- Press Advanced and set additional parameters such as print quality and paper size.
- Press OK until all the open dialog boxes are closed.
Set Printer Properties for Local Users
- Press Start / Printers and Faxes.
- Right-click the printer you want to set the default printing preferences for and press Properties.
- Select the General tab.
- Press Printing Preferences and press Advanced.
- Set the parameters on the Layout and Paper Quality tabs.
- Press Advanced and set additional parameters such as print quality and paper size.
- Press OK until all the open dialog boxes are closed.
NOTE: To set these properties on a printer served by a print spooler resource of the Cluster service, connect to the printer through the network name for the spooler. Make the changes to document settings through this connection.
