If the Update Root Certificates component is installed, and the computer cannot connect to the Windows Update site, you will receive these errors.

NOTE: The Update Root Certificates component automatically updates trusted root-certificate authorities from the Windows Update site at regular intervals.

Your computer must have access to the Internet or you must turn off the Update Root Certificates component:

1. Control Panel / Add/Remove Programs / Add/Remove Windows Components.

2. Clear the Update Root Certificates box and follow the on-screen instruction in the Windows Components Wizard.

NOTE: If you have a temporary connectivity problem, resolve it.
