JSI Tip 6547. DFS replication may not work as expected when disk quotas are configured?

If your domain has DFS implemented with automatic replication, disk quotas may cause inconsistent replicas to be generated and some files may not be replicated.

If a user changes files, replication can fail if the disk quota limit is exceeded.

NOTE: Microsoft does NOT support the use of the File Replication Service when disk quotas are enabled.

NOTE: See How to Install Distributed File System (DFS) on Windows 2000.

NOTE: See Unable to Create DFS Replication Policy with Missing Administrative Shares.
