JSI Tip 6536. The scope level Bootstrap protocol (BOOTP) user class options are NOT sent to the DHCP server?

When you set scope level options and scope level Bootstrap protocol (BOOTP) user class options on a Windows 200x server, the scope level user class options with a higher priority are NOT sent to DHCP clients.

The problem is caused by the 300 byte BOOTP packet limit. The server simply leaves out some options so they will fit in the packet. This behavior is by design.

This problem on affects BOOTP packets and does NOT affect DHCP packets.
