JSI Tip 6403. How do I use Group Policy to implement Internet Explorer Advanced Settings?

To use Group Policy to expose Internet Explorer Advanced Settings:

1. Use the Group Policy Editor to navigate to User Configuration / Windows Settings / Internet Explorer Maintenance.

2. Right-click Internet Explorer Maintenance and press Preference Mode.

NOTE: If a policy is already defined, you must press Reset Browser Settings, which will reset any Internet Explorer Maintenance Group Policy, before you press Preference Mode.

NOTE: If an Administrator wishes to restrict users from changing any Advanced settings, they can apply restrictions using the Administrator Templates.
