To add icons to your Windows XP desktop for the Start menu Help and Support, Search, and 'Run functions:
1. Copy /Paste the following to a DTHSR.reg file. You can omit any of the keys/values that you wish:

@="Help and Support"
\[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Desktop\NameSpace\\{2559A1F3-21D7-11D4-BDAF-00C04F60B9F0\}\]
@="Run"
2. Merge the DTHSR.reg file with the registry or run regedit /s DTHSR.reg.
3. Right-click the desktop and press Refresh.
NOTE: To effect all users of this computer, use the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE key instead of HKEY_CURRENT_USER. You will have to restart for this setting to take effect.
