JSI Tip 5720. Internet Explorer does NOT connect to a Web page with multibyte characters in the URL?

When you use Internet Explorer to connect to a Web page with a URL that contains multibyte characters, such as Japanese, you are NOT connected to the site?

To workaround this issue:

1. Use the Registry Editor to navigate to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings.

2. Add Value Name MBCSServername, a REG_DWORD data type, and set the data value to 0.

NOTE: If the default language for Windows is NOT United States English, this tip may not solve the problem.
