JSI Tip 4702. Does your screen saver cause your monitor to resume from a powered-down state?

If your screen saver has a timeout that is greater than the 'turn off monitor' Power Options, certain screen savers may cause your monitor to resume from a powered-down state.

If your screen saver can configure the display settings, it calls an system API to do so. If the display settings are changed, power is restored to the monitor.

If you must use that screen saver:

1. Use the Registry Editor to navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Screen Saver.3DMaze (or whatever your screen saver is).

2. Add a string Value Name of TurboMode and set the data value to 0.
