JSI Tip 4596. ToolTips and messages from the status area of your Windows XP taskbar remain?

If your computer exhibits the subject behavior:

1. Right-click an empty area on your desktop and press Properties.

2. Select the Appearance tab.

3. Press Effects.

4. Clear the Use the following transition effect for menus and tooltips box.

5. Press OK.

6. Press Apply.

7. Press OK.
