JSI Tip 4175. 'The fixed media is full' when backing up to a hard drive with plenty of free space?

When you use Windows 2000 backup to back up to a hard drive with plenty of free space, you receive:

The fixed media is full. You cannot back up all of the specified data to this disk device.
The backup operation will stop.

If your destination hard drive is formatted with FAT or FAT32, the maximum file size limit is 4 GB (4,294,967,296 bytes). If the backup file exceeds this limit, you receive the error above.

Convert to NTFS.
