Your ADSI queries to Active Directory stop responding after two minutes?

The default duration of an ADSI query is two minutes. Use Ntdsutil.exe to alter the MaxQueryDuration:

01. Open a CMD prompt and type ntdsutil.

02. Type ldap policies and press Enter.

03. Type connections and press Enter.

04. Type connect to <ServerName> and press Enter.

05. Type q and press Enter, which returns you to ldap policies.

06. Type show values and press Enter.

07. Type set maxqueryduration to <number of seconds> and press Enter.

08. Type commit changes and press Enter.

09. Type q and press Enter.

10. Type q and press Enter.
