JSI Tip 4060. A Sysprep image incorrectly enumerates COM ports?

After applying a Sysprep image, Device Manager may enumerate two COM ports as COM2, or COM2 and COM3?

If the device ID information in the BIOS of the master computer assigns COM1 to device _UID 0 and COM2 to device _UID 1 but the BIOS on the target computer uses _UID 1 and _UID 2, you will experience this problem.

Do not use Sysprep on computers that have different settings for the COM port IDs.
