JSI Tip 3627. You receive an 'Access Is Denied' error, but your access permissions are correct?

One possible reason for the subject error is that another user has encrypted the file.

To determine if the file is encrypted:

On the View menu of Windows Explorer, select the Detail view. On the View menu, press Choose Columns and check the Attributes box. If the E attribute is displayed, the file is encrypted.

The file can be decrypted by the user who encrypted it or by the designated recovery agent.

NOTE: See tip 3595 » The local administrator is NOT always the default EFS recovery agent?
