JSI Tip 3506. You receive an error when you try to rename an object on a Macintosh AppleShare file server?

When you try to rename a folder or file that resides on a Macintosh AppleShare file server, from your Windows 2000 computer, you receive:

Error Renaming File or Folder
Cannot rename Folder Name: Cannot find the specified file.
Make sure you specify the correct path and filename.
Windows 2000 sends a SMB ( Server Message Block) open command when it renames an object. In order to support this operation, the Macintosh O/S needs an update to the AppleShare Internet Protocol.
