JSI Tip 3204. The Add Printer wizard causes a exception in Explorer.exe?

When you try to use the Add Printer Wizard to Add Printer, Explorer.exe causes an access violation?

One possible cause is that the Installation Sources value name at:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Setup

is set to a REG_SZ data type.

The proper data type for Installation Sources is REG_MULTI_SZ.

Delete the Installation Sources value name and use Regedt32 to Add Value using a REG_MULTI_SZ data type. Enter the paths, one per line.

Here are the entries for my customized Installation Sources:

C:\DELL\DRIVERS\W2KAUDIO
