JSI Tip 3106. Windows Explorer won't print a '.htm' file?

When you right click a .htm file in Windows 2000 Explorer, and then press Print, nothing happens?

If Office 2000 is installed on your computer, it changes the Print command for .htm files.

NOTE: If IE 5.5 is installed, this behavior may NOT happen.

To fix the Print command for .htm files:

1. Open Windows Explorer or My Computer.

2. Press Tools / Folder Options.

3. Select the File Types tab.

4. Select the HTM extension and press Advanced.

5. Select the Print action and press the Edit button.

6. Replace the string in the Application used to perform action box with:

rundll32.exe C:\winnt\system32\mshtml.dll,PrintHTML "%1"

You may need to change the drive letter and folder if %SystemRoot% is NOT 'C:\winnt'.

7. Press OK, OK, and Close.
