JSI Tip 2523. Do I have to remove a Windows NT 4.0 driver to allow my Windows 2000 to hibernate?

In tip 2297, I explained why a device driver may disable your PC's ability to hibernate.

If you have a non-critical Windows NT 4.0 driver, you may be able to hiberate by typing net stop <DriverFile>.sys, prior to hibernating your computer.

When you return from hibernation, type net start <DriverFile>.sys.
