JSI Tip 2448. Disk Error 11 and ATAPI Error 5 using DMA transfer mode for ATA66 drive?

If you are using a ATA66 drive in Windows 2000, you may receive:

Disk error
Driver detected a controller error on the device, \Device\Harddisk1\DR1

ATAPI Error
Parity error on device \IDE\IDEport1
Currently, ATA66 DMA transfer mode is NOT supported for onboard IDE controllers. See the Hardware Compatibility List (HCL).

To fix the errors, set PIO transfer mode, using tip 2247.
