In tip 2004 and its' links, we dealt with some reasons for Event ID 2022.
If your Windows NT 4.0 receives multiple instances of:
Event 2022: Server was unable to find a free connection 1 times in the last 60 seconds
your disk may be nearly full or heavily fragmented, causing a request to grow a file to take too long while Windows NT searches for free space.
If that is not the cause on your commputer, you can experiment with the following registry values:
Key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanServer\Parameters
Value Name: MaxFreeConnections
Type: REG_DWORD
Range: 1 - 100
Value Name: MinFreeConnections
Type: REG_DWORD
Range: 1 - 32
NOTE: The default data values for these entries are configuration dependent.
