JSI Tip 1860. Office 2000 setup is very slow and eventually issues error 2336 or 2755?

When you setup Office 2000, it appears to hang and issues one of the following messages:

Internal error 2336: Please Contact Product Support for assistance.

Internal error 2755: Please Contact Product Support for assistance.

If you have a %SystemRoot%\Installer folder on an NTFS partition, grant Everyone Full Control.

You must also have at least Read + Add permission on the %SystemRoot% folder.
