JSI Tip 1192. Event log contains a 'duplicate name on the network' message for a multihomed TP/IP computer.

WINS issues this error message because it thinks that the multihomed computer has only one NIC (the WINS database conains a UNIQUE entry).

To eliminate the error, add a primary and secondary WINS address to the 2nd NIC and set them to the same WINS address as the initial NIC.

After you shutdown and restart the multihomed computer, it will re-register with WINS as a GROUP and will be identified as Multihomed.
