If you are running Seagate Backup Exec 7.0, build 719, receiving Pop-up messages may block the CPU, causing applications and
non-critical services to stop responding until the Pop-up is closed.
You really should switch to UltraBac.
Alternately, use Regedt32 to browse to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\SubSystems\Windows
During the install, Seagate modified the SharedSection=1024,3072 to SharedSection=1024,3072,512.
Unfortuneatly, they dropped the =16 from MaxRequestThreads=16. Put it back. In case you fumble finger, the entry should look like:
%SystemRoot%\system32\csrss.exe ObjectDirectory=\Windows SharedSection=1024,3072,512 Windows=On SubSystemType=Windows ServerDll=basesrv,1 ServerDll=winsrv:UserServerDllInitialization,3 ServerDll=winsrv:ConServerDllInitialization,2 ProfileControl=Off MaxRequestThreads=16Do not make this change on Small Business Server.
