JSI Tip 10145. How can I disable the corrected machine check on Windows Server 2003?

Every 60 seconds, Windows Server 2003 polls for corrected hardware error conditions.

When the firmware also operates on the corrected error information, a conflict may exist.

If you want to disable the corrected machine check process:

1. Open a CMD.EXE window.

2. Type the following command and press Enter:

REG ADD "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager" /V EnableCMC /T REG_DWORD /F /D 0

3. Shutdown and restart your server.
