The Process|Elapsed Time counter was developed for this purpose.
The Process|Elapsed Time counter counts from zero the moment a process is started and increments until the process ends. Upon process termination, the counter resets to zero.
Note: - If you start a process and end it, and start it again later, the Process|Elapsed Time counter will consider it the same process, even though it receives a new Process ID.
Tip: - You can determine when a system hangs or is shutdown by using the Process|Elapsed Time counter on the CSRSS process (Win32 subsystem).
