Microsoft has tested some 16bit apps for compatability with Windows NT 4.0. You can get the list at http://www.microsoft.com/windows/platform/info/16bit.htm.
If your app is not on the list, chances are it will work anyway, unless the developers attempted to manipulate the hardware directly.
