It's like you were there: What we saw at the #Windows10Devices event today

Today's #Windows10Devices event in New York City included a number of announcements that should have hardware geeks talking for a while: a new and improved wearable band; proof that Microsoft is going to beaver away at a mobile phone; a tablet with its very own stylus? pencil? whatever -- it's a pointy, stick-like thing to help you work. But the big announcement was the Surface Book, a mobile laptop-cum-tablet that extends the company's vision of providing tools to improve productivity.

Because Twitter timelines can be crowded -- and they're in reverse-chronological order -- we've included the you-are-there perspective on the event courtesy of our own Richard Hay (@winobs). Get the best of the keynote without the chaos.
