Although the company still hasn't settled on an exact release date, id Software's DOOM 3, this year's most highly anticipated game title, will ship "this summer"—which is at least a bit more exact than the previously announced date of "when it's ready." DOOM 3, which ties realistic next-generation graphics to a scary and creepy environment, will offer first-person shooter fans an experience that will likely be unsurpassed for years to come.
