I receive File Replication Service errors in the Event log.

A. A known problem exists that if a domain controller which is a File Replication Service partner of a server cannot be contacted either due to a network problem or is rebooted within a single polling interval (5 minutes) then the server will be unable to resolve the SID of the FRS partner as the binding handle will be invalid.

The actual event log received will be:

<font color="#800000">Event ID:13526<br><br>
The file replication service cannot replicate c:\winnt\sysvol\domain with the computer
TITANIC because the computer SID cannot be determined from the distinguished name "cn=dc1,ou=domain
controller,dc=savilltech,dc=com" The file Replication Service will try later.&#160;<br>
SYSVOL and DFS content is not being replicated.</font>

This problem will stop information from being replicated and to resolve restart the FRS service on the machine logging the 13526 events:

C:\&gt;<b>net stop "file replication service"</b><br>
The File Replication Service service is stopping.....<br>
The File Replication Service service was stopped successfully.<br><br>
C:\&gt;<b>net start "file replication service"</b><br>
The File Replication Service service is starting.<br>
The File Replication Service service was started successfully.
