I keep seeing "contract for hire" positions advertised. Is that a good option for me?

A. Yes, this might be a good option for you. Employers are increasingly hiring contractors with the possibility of full-time employment at some point if they prove themselves. If the contractor doesn't work out, the company will cut loose the contractor and find another. Contracting is a great way to prove your skills. If you do a good job, you might get an employment offer. If the offer doesn't come through, you'll still have some excellent experience under your belt and another bullet point for your resume.
