I can't delete user x.

A. A. This can be caused by a number of things. You can try deleting the user from the command line:

net user <username> /delete \[/domain\]

If this does not work try renaming the account and then deleting it

  1. Start User Manager (for domains)
  2. Select the user you can't delete
  3. From the User menu select Rename
  4. Enter the new name and click OK
  5. Now select the new user name and press DEL and click OK to the confirmation.

The above solution would work if you had an invalid username (like AAAAAAAAAAA)
