HP Embraces Consumer Electronics

HP's new digital entertainment products include new notebooks and an entry into the TV market with LCD and Plasma TVs. As part of the digital photography expansion, the company has introduced a line of new digital cameras, photo printers, scanners, ink, and related accessories. The new cameras include a 3.2-megapixel camera and two 4.1-megapixel cameras. Rounding out the digital photography products are five new photo printers, a new scanner, four ink jet printers, three all-in-one photo printers (which include scanners), a new category of photo printer inks called HP Vivera Ink, and HP Photo Paper. Of course, no one would have known anything about this announcement if it hadn't been bundled with HP's music announcement, which was largely based around on Apple Computer's "cool" iPod, which HP licensed
