How can I convert a NT 4.0 .pol file to a Windows 2000 group policy object?

A. The Windows 2000 Resource Kit has the GPOLMIG.EXE utility which can convert a NT 4.0 system policy .pol file to a Windows 2000 group policy object, this is a VERY useful tool!

For help just enter

C:\> gpolmig /?

The example syntax to migrate a system policy for the user policy would be:

C:\> gpolmig c:\temp\ntconfig.pol /migrate user user1
\{00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000\}User
