A. If you have upgraded to dynamic disks to take advantage of their increased functionality (e.g., RAID), the system has assigned a name to your dynamic disk group, which is usually the machine name with a suffix of Dg0. To check the name, perform the following steps:
- Start regedit.exe.
- Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\dmio\Boot Info\Primary Disk Group.
- The Name value is the dynamic disk group name.
- Close regedit.
Microsoft advises against changing this name.
