Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn, Part 1

Microsoft has created a 90-minute live action Halo movie and is releasing it in 15 minute segments on You Tube. The full movie will be available for purchase in December, but why wait? Based on the first part, this is going to be pretty cool.

According to a post on Mashable, a new part in the video series will be released each Friday until Halo 4’s November 6 launch. It focuses on a new character in the Halo universe, UN Space Command trainee Thomas Lasky, who will have a very important role in the upcoming game. But no worry, Halo fans. Master Chief is in there as well.

A Bloomberg report says Microsoft spent $10 million producing the movie, and given the previous troubles with a Peter Jackson-helmed Hollywood version of Halo, one has to imagine this movie is a bit of a payback to anyone who thought it couldn’t be done well.

Anyway, if you’re a Halo fan, check it out. Obviously.
