Q. Do I have to enter a product key during Windows Vista or Longhorn Server installation?
A. During the installation of Vista and Longhorn, although you are prompted to enter a key, you don't have to. You can simply click Next. A warning message will display asking whether you want to enter a key. Click No. A list of all products on the DVD will be shown. Select the version you want to install and select the "I have selected the edition of Windows that I purchased" check box, as the figure shows, and click Next. Once installation has completed you can enter the product key and activate.
