During a Windows 2000 Professional installation, I discovered a file that contained sensitive information. I installed Win2K Pro and Microsoft SQL Server 7.0 on a workstation in my network without a problem. After I completed the installation process, I found a file in the root directory called tempsetup.txt. (Figure 1 shows a sample file.) This file contains the user account and password of the account that set up the system—my administrative account. I suggest deleting this file before you hand over the system to the user.
