A. Good thinking! Microsoft estimates that, each year, 20 percent of its employees need some sort of change to their personal data in the Global Address List (GAL). That's a significant amount of overhead. Now, on to the actual meat of your question: You can’t administer an Exchange Server system from a Win9x machine. Microsoft Exchange Administrator requires Windows NT to run, period. However, the capability you're asking for is available using the GAL Modify (or Galmod) tool from the Microsoft BackOffice Resource Kit (BORK). When you set up Galmod, users can modify whatever fields you give them access to without any help or handholding from you.
