This week, Apple announced that it had inked a deal with automaker BMW to integrate the computer company's popular iPod portable audio player into certain BMW car models. However, the integration isn't as good as the companies are making it sound: Although it's true that the integration lets BMW customers control the iPod from their stereo system, the arrangement won't let customers also use a CD changer. And the iPod doesn't physically integrate with the car in any way; the device simply connects to the stereo via a normal iPod cable located in the glove compartment.
