Align and distribute objects

To align or distribute objects:

  1. Select the objects.
  2. Click the Draw button on the Drawing toolbar and select from the Align or Distribute menu.

Notes:

  • To align objects, you must have at least two objects selected. If you select Relative to Slide form the Align or Distribute menu, then the slide "counts" as one object and you need to select at least one other object before the Align commands will be available.
  • When you distribute objects, PowerPoint looks at the outside edges of the outermost objects and distributes any additional objects within those boundaries. To distribute objects, you must have at least three objects selected. If you select Relative to Slide form the Align or Distribute menu, then the slide "counts" as the outside edges and you need to select at least one other object before the Distribute commands will be available.
