Access Denied: The Microsoft Product Support Life Cycle

We still have a sizable base of Windows NT computers that we need to patch against security holes. How much longer will Microsoft continue to release NT security patches for new exploits?

Microsoft says it will stop providing NT security patches on January 1, 2005. So, you have less than a year to upgrade those systems to Windows 2000 or later or move your data and processes to other computers. For more information about Microsoft's policy on product support or to find the support time lines for particular products, you can go to http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?pr=lifecycle.
