Q: How do I set up a Hyper-V Replica to a Hyper-V cluster?

A: Hyper-V Replica allows the asynchronous replication of a virtual machine's (VM's) storage changes across the network to another Hyper-V server every five minutes. The configuration is very simple, essentially just enabling a Hyper-V server to accept replica requests. However, if a cluster is involved, the configuration is slightly different since you can't target a specific host.

To replicate to a Windows Server 2012 Hyper-V failover cluster, the Replica Broker role must be installed and configured to use a shared location, such as a Cluster Shared Volume. It will then be possible to specify the failover cluster as a replica target.
