Sunrise announces sunset: Service will discontinue August 31

As outlook brings in Sunrise sensibility, team says its time to move on

All good things come to an end, and the calendar client acquired by Microsoft to help them rethink Outlook for the mobile era has announce its end: August 31.

"As some of you might already know, we were acquired by Microsoft last year and have now moved on to work on Outlook for iOS and Android," the company wrote in a blog post signed by staff. "Different products, same goal: making your day-to-day life easier and more enjoyable to manage."

The end shouldn't come as a surprise, since Outlook has begun looking a lot more Sunrise-y of late, particularly after Microsoft tapped an outsider to helm Outlook's transition to multiplatform.

For some folks, however, Outlook hasn't yet become Sunrise-y enough, and their unsure how they'll get their scheduling fix going forward:
